Mike Wilde performing Accoustically at The Magnolia Centre, which is actually a church, this Friday evening, 20th of August. This will be a lot of fun and expect Mike to play ‘Bondi’, ‘Deep Blue Sea’ and some new material as well.

Recently Mike appeared/performed in a documentary about the life and music of the legendary
King George.

A native of Virginia he was a friend of Jimi Hendrix, their paths first crossing in Harlem and then later in Sweden. Over the last 40 years King George has been a regular on the Scandinavian and European Blues scene and this tribute has been a long time coming.

The Film features interviews and Live performances and will be broadcasted nationally (Sweden)
and internationally in 2009.

A great night had by all at Uddevalla Kassett Festival. Mike hit the stage at 11.00 p.m, performing a short, sharp set of his favourite originals including Deep Blue Sea from his days fronting Sydney punk/funk band Holiday and his latest accoustic Wondertune Bondi, a homage to the Sydney beach culture.  Thanks to Lars Wallin and all the other organisers, all the other bands (Stures Dansorkester rocked!) and of course the public/fans who made it such a pleasure to play.

Very good. Soft & easy listening. I like the mix of talking and lyrics. The whole song is mixed very well - the lyrics are clearly audible at all times. I especially like the quirky noises / experimental aspects of the song. Great work & thanks for the listening!

We at WildeWorld are proud to present a limited signed edition of Mike Wilde’s solo debut album Special Stories. The album features 12 tracks, all original compositions. If you are living in Sweden or Finland you might have already seen Mike performing the bonus track “Shaking” in the Swedish film “Coming home”. The film premiered at the Gothenburg Film Festival 2006 and has since been aired a number of times on SVT and YLE in Finland in 2007. “Coming home” is scheduled to be aired on TV 1000 Nordic in 2008.

Big Fat Angel and number of the other tracks have already gained a lot of attention over at MySpace and over the next few months a number of Singles from Special Stories will be released on Itunes and other digital outlets.For those of you who want to listen to and own the album now, a limited edition is available through The Phoenix Label here on mikewilde.com
